Ordering custom printed booklets can often seem complicated, but here at U.S. Press we strive to make the purchasing process quick, simple, and delivered with first class service. Read below on how to place your saddle stitch booklet order:

1. Begin with finalizing the artwork for your booklet. Having great design is essential for a great publication. We suggest using the best design software, like Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator, when creating your artwork. Be sure to create your design as individual pages in chronological order rather than spreads.

2. Make sure you have included .125″ margins and bleeds around all sides. Margins will ensure critical elements aren’t trimmed off the page or hidden in the spine of your booklet. Bleeds will allow for proper trimming of your booklet.

3. Export your file as a print-quality PDF with your pages in order of printing. For example, your front cover will be page 1, the front inside cover as page, and so on until the final page in your PDF is the back cover.

4. Select the specs of your booklet project with our instant pricing calculator.

5. Select the quantity of booklets you require (minimum of 100 and maximum of 10,000). For higher quantities, please request a custom quote. Choose the booklet size and the total page count, including the cover.

6. Decide on the inside paper stock and cover paper stock. This will generate an instant subtotal for your project, displayed at the bottom of our quote calculator.

  7. Upload your artwork a single PDF. You can upload files up to 50 MB directly on our saddle stitch booklets product page. If your artwork is larger than 50 MB, please use our Send Files form to submit your file.

8. Proceed to checkout. You will either need to sign into your existing online account, or create a new one if this is your first order with U.S. Press.

9. After checkout, your order will immediately be entered into our queue for proofing. Our pre-press team will manually inspect your file to make sure it has been properly set up for high quality printing. If our team notices any issues, we will contact you and work alongside you to make sure your file is ready for printing.

10. We will email you a PDF proof. At this stage, it’s critical for you to closely check over your artwork to make sure all content is accurate and ready for press. If color is critical, we recommend you order a hard copy color proof by contacting us at 800-227-7377.

11. Once you have approved your proof, your order will enter into production. We will print, cut, and bind your booklets within the turnaround time you have selected.

12. At order completion, we will send you an email with shipment tracking.
