With holiday season on the horizon, it’s important to think about your customers’ needs that are specific to the holiday season. Increased consumer spending makes it a time ripe for new marketing campaigns to help your company capture the extra revenue the season can provide. Everyone is thinking about gifts for their friends and loved ones, and it’s up to savvy marketers to make sure they keep customers informed of how they can help the customer in that quest. But it’s also important for businesses to think about how they can spread some holiday cheer to their customers as well.

Season of Giving

One thoughtful and cost-effective way to show your customers that they’re appreciated is through printing calendars to share with them. A well-designed calendar makes a great gift and a great marketing tool. As a gift, they’re useful, thoughtful and can be a literal daily reminder to customers and clients that you and your business are always around to help them with their needs. As a marketing tool, they’re a simple, cost-effective item to produce, and can feature your logo and contact information. This means a great deal, considering that calendars will be looked at nearly every day, again reminding them that you and your business are just a phone call or email away.

Timing is Everything

What’s more, this is the perfect time of year to design and print a great calendar to share with customers or clients. As the year begins to wind down, we all begin to anticipate what the new year will hold. A holiday gift of a calendar reminds customers that you’ll be there through the upcoming year, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. If you were to act now and begin designing your calendar, by New Year’s Day, dozens of your customers could be pinning that same calendar to the wall of their office, breakroom or other areas.

If you do decide to print a calendar and are designing it yourself, remember to use high quality images with the proper pixel count to ensure they don’t blur or pixelate when stretched or otherwise edited to fit the pages of your calendar. Consider using images that foster positive feelings, like confidence, motivation or a sense of calm, to add a positive touch to your customers’ day-to-day. You can also use images that can be associated with the type of business you or your customers are involved with. For example, if you own an agricultural supply company, consider images of healthy crops, bountiful harvests and workers tending to their fields. If you own an auto-body shop, you could use quality images of classic vehicles your shop has restored. The possibilities are up to you, the designer – remember to be creative and design a product that your customers will truly enjoy.
